Our musical roots lie in the Psychedelic Funk-Rock, Blues/Country/Folk traditions of a bygone time- but music is timeless; the power of classic groove infused with fresh soul and a mission to move you from your mind all the way down to your behind (booty) is as relevant today as it ever was.

We seek to blur the line between performer and spectator, creating a participatory experience designed to remove your excuses, working towards a deeper connection- believing in the spiritual significance of music and searching together for that holy moment, every time!

Bio:

The Lizard Slippers were originally formed by Yoel, Elijah and Elad, when they were in their teen years. And while the band was a favorite on the local rock scene, the original members spread out and eventually the group fell apart.. As the years went by, Yoel continued his mission to spread funk across the universe with projects such as the "Vilde Chajes", while Elijah continued cooking up rock'n'roll grooves with his classic-rock oriented group "Vine".

The legend of the Lizard Slippers always remained a musical and artistic highlight for them as they each pursued their independent musical journeys- and finally, feeling the need to say something (LOUD) and contribute to the growing peace movement in Israel, they decided to regroup for a show at the "Woodstock for Peace 2024" festival in the Negev Desert.

Together with new faces from the Vilde Chajes project they grooved & moved the audience both emotionally and physically - and decided to keep the funk together, and bring it to the people!
