In late 2021, Inspired by his multicultural background Yoel Chajes formed what eventually become the “Vilde Chajes” (Yiddish: Wild Beasts) creating a unique synthesis of soul and funk inspired music, incorporating influences from jazz, rock, fusion and traditional styles of music. At the moment the band is enjoying regular performances at local venues and events, including hosting the new years party at the Jazz On The Edge 22' festival in Mitzpe Ramon, and are excited to continue performing to promote the recently released debut EP “Livsumi!” By utilizing elements of audience participation Vilde Chajes seek to blur the line between performer and spectator to create a participatory experience through communication, authenticity, and above all a deeper connection and belief in the spiritual significance of playing music- searching together for that holy moment, every time! We glorify and sanctify celebration, striving to inspire the connection of people to each other through song, dance, and the ritual experience.
